Timing, auth codes and downtime during transfer
How do I sign up?
Open the billing panel and fill in the registration form. Use a valid email โ your login details will be sent there.
How do I recover account access?
Use the password recovery link on the login page. A reset link will be sent to the email you signed up with.
How do I change the root password on a VPS?
In the Virtualizor panel, select the server and use the root-password change function. You can also run `passwd` over SSH.
How do I reinstall the OS on a VPS?
In the Virtualizor panel, pick the server, click "Reinstall OS", and choose the distribution. Reinstall takes 5-15 minutes. All data will be wiped.
What virtualization do you use?
KVM virtualization with full resource isolation. Every VPS gets guaranteed CPU, RAM, and disk.
Can I upgrade VPS resources?
Yes โ move to a larger plan from your dashboard or through support. Usually no OS reinstall is required.
How do I point a domain to my hosting?
Change the NS servers at your registrar to the GBNhost nameservers, then add the domain in the control panel. DNS propagation can take up to 24 hours.
How do I create a database?
In the hosting control panel, go to "Databases" and create a new MySQL/MariaDB database. phpMyAdmin is available for management.
How do I upload files to hosting?
Use an FTP client (e.g. FileZilla) with the credentials from the activation email, or the file manager in the control panel.
What payment methods are available?
Bank cards (Visa, MasterCard, MIR), e-wallets, and bank transfers.
How does auto-renewal work?
If your balance is sufficient, the service renews automatically. You can disable this in your dashboard.
Can I get a refund?
Unused-period refunds are available via support. Details are in our public offer.
How do I connect via SSH?
Use an SSH client: `ssh root@SERVER_IP`. Credentials are in the activation email. PuTTY on Windows, Terminal on macOS/Linux.
Where are your servers located?
Hong Kong (Tier III) and Estonia (Tallinn, Infonet DC, Tier III). You can choose the location when ordering.
Can I get a refund if the service doesn't fit?
Yes. Refunds are available within 14 days of payment if the service was not actively used. Before ordering you can always reach out to support for a free consultation and help choosing the right plan.
